Known for his work with artists like Chris Brown, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, and many more, 254Bodi has quickly established himself as a placement machine in the music industry. He is also a co-founder of the collective 254 sound, which has been making waves in the music production scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Beginning<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

254Bodi’s journey into music production started at a young age. He was always fascinated by the power of music and its ability to evoke a wide range of emotions. His initial foray into music was through learning to play the guitar, which he taught himself by watching YouTube videos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Music has been a huge part of my life for as far back as I can remember. I’ve always been blown away by how music can provoke so many emotions. I started off playing guitar when I was pretty young and then around when I was like 11 or 12, I started teaching myself more guitar songs by watching YouTube videos.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

His transition into music production began when he received FL Studio as a birthday gift. He spent several years familiarizing himself with the software and honing his skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I got FL Studio for my 16th or 17th birthday, and from there, I just started messing around with it for a few years, getting to know the software. Things started picking up after a few years of doing it.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Power of Networking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When asked about his secret to securing so many placements, 254Bodi emphasized the importance of networking and building genuine relationships within the industry. He believes that being present and building real relationships with other producers and artists has been a key factor in his success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“One of the main reasons I was able to get so many placements was the fact that I move around a lot. I do a lot of traveling, going to LA, New York, Atlanta. Getting in the room with other producers and with artists allows you to build a real relationship with them. I feel like that in-person, genuine relationship leads to those producers using your stuff more when you send stuff to them.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

254Bodi’s first major placement was a song called “Big Slimes” on Young Thug and Chris Brown’s collab album, featuring Gunna and Lil Duke. The story behind this placement is a testament to the unpredictable nature of the music industry and the power of persistence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“My first major placement was this song called ‘Big Slimes’ on Young Thug and Chris Brown’s collab album. The story behind that was I was cooking up with Sasha, one of the Zoo Kids. We were putting a pack together for Iann Dior because one of our friends was working on his project and he asked us for some stuff. We sent the pack, didn’t hear anything about it, and then like a year later, I just randomly played the sample for Eli. He added some stuff to it, sent it to Turbo, and it got placed.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
