We’ve just shipped a major upgrade to the WAVS search engine, and it changes how you find samples on our platform.
Our old text search was strictly typed. When you searched for something, it had to be located somewhere in the sample metadata, in precisely that spelling. A search for “bell” would not retrieve samples with the word “bells”, and vice versa.
WAVS new AI-powered solution solves that, exposing all of the qualified matches from our catalog of 150k+ curated audio files.
Searching with text just got a whole lot easier
The new search engine understands what you’re asking for, even if your spelling doesn’t precisely match the file name.
This means several things work now that didn’t before:
Smarter keyword matching. Your search can be in singular or plural form. It can also be misspelled. The WAVS AI text search can trace your spelling back to the most likely intended phrase, and proceed from there.
Any word order is okay. A search for “female rnb vocals” will also retrieve variations like “rnb vocal female”. Reordering and changing pluralization won’t matter. All of the related samples will be pulled in.
Search by sample pack name. This is big if you’re someone who knows the WAVS catalog. You can finally search the name of a sample pack and we’ll retrieve a direct link to the pack along with the playlist of all the samples inside it.
Audio search is now in the search bar too. In case you missed it, we’ve updated our text search field to include the AI Audio Sample Finder, to make it more accessible and part of the search experience.

Head to WAVS and search like you normally would. Don’t worry about getting the phrasing exactly right. Don’t worry about plurals or misspellings. Search for pack names. Search for variations. The search engine will figure it out.
