Cardo, also known as Cardo Got Wings, is an American record producer born in St. Paul, Minnesota. He moved to Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas to avoid trouble, where he began producing using MTV Music Generator on PlayStation before transitioning to FL Studio. He was fired from his first office job for making beats at his desk, and shortly after landed his first major placement with Wiz Khalifa on "Mezmorized" from Kush & Orange Juice (2010).

Cardo's credits include co-production on Drake's "God's Plan" (No. 1 Hot 100, with Boi-1da), Kendrick Lamar's "GOD." (DAMN., Grammy-winning for Best Rap Album) and "Euphoria" (2024), ScHoolboy Q's "THat Part" (with CuBeatz and Kanye West), Migos' "Deadz" (Culture), and extensive work with Nipsey Hussle, Larry June (Cruise USA series), Payroll Giovanni, Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller, and Freddie Gibbs. He runs the EISG (Everything Is Gold) collective and co-produced the 2025 XXL Freshman Class cyphers.

Cardo started on PlayStation MTV Music Generator, progressed through FL Studio, and is known for a diverse production palette. Dr. Dre told him "I'm the future." He describes his approach as "Thanos-type," collecting sounds across genres. He told Hypebeast: "I didn't find my place, I made my place." His 5-year-old daughter accidentally created the melody for Meek Mill's "Levels" by playing his keyboard.
