Swizz Beatz is an American record producer born Kasseem Dean on September 13, 1978, in the Bronx, New York. He emerged through the Ruff Ryders camp and produced DMX's 1998 single 'Ruff Ryders' Anthem' from the album It's Dark and Hell Is Hot.

He has produced for Jay-Z, DMX, Eve, and Beyoncé, among many others across hip-hop and R&B. He has held executive and creative roles across the industry and remained an in-demand producer for decades.
