WondaGurl is the production alias of Ebony Naomi Oshunrinde, born December 28, 1996, in Scarborough, Toronto, to a family of Nigerian heritage. She began making beats at age 9 on a Casio keyboard with drum pads gifted by her grandmother, then discovered FL Studio around age 11. Her mother introduced her to Biggie and Diddy; her brother turned her on to Dipset. She won the 2012 Battle of the Beat Makers competition in Toronto at age 15, where judge Boi-1da became her mentor. Her name derives from flipping Boi-1da's moniker.

At 16, WondaGurl produced "Crown" on Jay-Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail (2013) alongside Travis Scott and Mike Dean, making her one of the youngest women credited on a platinum-selling hip-hop album. She produced Travis Scott's "Antidote" (2015, Top 40 hit, co-produced with Eestbound), Drake's "Company" and "Used To" on If You're Reading This It's Too Late, and co-wrote Rihanna's "Bitch Better Have My Money." She executive produced tracks on Playboi Carti's Die Lit and contributed to Pop Smoke's "Aim for the Moon" and JackBoys' "Gang Gang."

In 2018, Forbes named her to their 30 Under 30 music list. In 2020, she signed a worldwide publishing deal with Travis Scott's Cactus Jack Publishing and Sony, while establishing her own Wonderchild Records. At the 2021 Juno Awards, she became the first Black Canadian woman and first woman to win the Jack Richardson Producer of the Year Award for work on other artists' records. She released her debut solo album Metal Tail in July 2025.
