Zaytoven is the production alias of Xavier Lamar Dotson, born November 2, 1980, in San Francisco, California. Raised in Atlanta, he is a classically trained pianist who began producing in the early 2000s. He became Gucci Mane's primary producer, crafting the sound that helped establish Atlanta trap music.

Zaytoven's credits include Gucci Mane's 'Wasted,' 'Lemonade,' and 'First Day Out Tha Feds'; Migos' 'Versace' and multiple Culture tracks; Future's 'Peacoat'; and work with Usher, Nicki Minaj, and Bankroll Fresh. He has released over 50 mixtapes as a producer and maintains a prolific output.

His production is defined by live piano playing over trap drums, creating a distinctive sound that blends classical musicianship with street-level trap energy. He plays all piano parts live rather than programming them, and his cascading piano runs over 808s became the blueprint for melodic trap.
