About

Minimal Audio's flagship: five synthesis engines and nine effects behind an XY preset interface, plus Stream, a built-in library of samples, wavetables and presets the company adds to monthly. Positioned as a sound platform rather than a single synth.

Signature Sound
Modern wavetable movement with a sampled layer underneath for body. Reached for melodic leads and pads that need motion without drawing automation.

Source Minimal Audio's own Current product page carries named testimonials. Nick Mira: 'This [Current] has really been my favorite VST right now.' Andrew Huang: 'The presets are just so rich, and alive to me' and 'They've done a beautiful job with the UI... it sounds really good.' Richard Devine also appears on the page, but his quote endorses Rift, not Current.
